BTT - March 20
You’ve just reached the end of a book . . . what do you do now? Savor and muse over the book? Dive right into the next one? Go take the dog for a walk, the kids to the park, before even thinking about the next book you’re going to read? What?
(Obviously, there can be more than one answer, here–a book with a cliff-hanger is going to engender different reactions than a serene, stand-alone, but you get the idea!)It really depends on the book, my mood, and what is going on in my life. BM (Before Maya), I would often close a book, sigh, and pick up another one right away. Unless it was at night, or I had something else to do. Sometimes I would reflect on what I just read before picking up something else, especially if it was an intense read. AM (After Maya), I tend to appreciate the fact that I finished a book before grabbing another one! No matter what, I usually like to write my review before I get too far into my next read.

The one thing that does stop me picking up another book immediately is the thought that it might make it difficult to write a thorough review. That's when I have to go to something 'bitty' like letters or a journal that isn't going to get me lost in a different fictional world.
I completely agree...my BTT was really similar. Actually most people's were, it really does depend on so much that it is hard to make a generalization about all books.
happy Thursday!
table talk - I completely agree!
bethany - You're right, I saw a lot of similar comments this week.
After my children I learned how to read in short bursts. I also pretty much gave up TV to make up the time that my children were taking away from my reading. Happy BTT.
Please one more post about that. I wonder how you got so good. This is really a fascinating blog, lots of stuff that I can get into. One thing I just want to say is that your Blog is so perfect.
People comment here because you do the best blog. As my observation I need to say thank you for sharing this blog.
